Project workspace in the application

Many useful features of the Cloudpermit user interface will help you work more efficiently. The project view is one of them. The project view is accessed in two ways.

You can enter it from the application workspace by clicking the project name link on the top of the workspace header. Another way to access the project view is to enter it from the application workspace card.

The project view summarizes the critical information in the application by process step. It includes, among other things, property data, tasks and project updates, a list of related applications, inspections, orders, deficiencies, and outstanding payments.

A list of conditions is also present with the project views in the planning approvals. Applicants can also rename the project or start creating a new application from the project view.

Project header

The project header contains the project name (which is editable), the property address, and the roll number. The "Create New Workspace" wizard appears in the upper right corner, allowing you to create a new workspace.

Tasks and project updates

When the application receives any updates from municipal authorities, such as new forms being uploaded or a change request, the "Tasks and project updates" section will appear in the project view.

Cloudpermit will send you an email or put a message in the "Tasks and Requests" section of your dashboard if there are any requests or notifications about their application. The "Tasks and project updates" view is updated as a result.

Application-related sections

The project view includes application-related sections. They do not appear by default in the project view, but rather as a result of the application steps.

The "Applications" section lists all workspaces associated with the selected application. If you have many applications, you can sort them using different sorting criteria.

The application has access to the "Messages" workspace to view message threads and begin a new conversation.

If you want to enter the application workspace, click the arrow on the right.

In the project view, the "Outstanding Payments" section is by default visible.

Other sections

If the building application is in a stage that requires orders, deficiencies, or inspections, the relevant sections will appear in the project view.

The planning application project view includes any approval conditions imposed by authorities. These can be found in the "Conditions" section of the project view.

Renaming your project

In the application creation step, the project name is your application name. In the project view, you can change this name.

Note: Only applicants may change the name of their applications at any time during the application process.

  1. Click the project name link on the workspace card.
  2. You'll be taken to the project view. To rename your project, click the "pencil icon" next to the project name.

  3. Change the name of your project and save it by clicking the "checkmark" button on the right.

  4. The new project name is visible in both the project view and the application.

To return to the previous view, click the "Back to Dashboard" button.
