This tutorial shows how to create a pre-consultation request on Cloudpermit if it is required before submitting a planning approval application.
Step 1: Suppose you have created a draft planning approval application on Cloudpermit, and it states that pre-consultation is required. You can see the pre-consultation progress bar in the Application Workspace after creating a draft approval request. If you have not yet created a planning approval application, see instructions for creating a planning approval application. The municipality provides a link to its pre-consultation instructions under the Pre-consultation section. Click the link to open the instructions and read them through carefully.
You must provide the following information to a pre-consultation process on Cloudpermit:
- Parties to the Application
- Project Data
Step 2: Go to the Parties to the Application block and expand it by clicking Open.
There is an applicant´s card already available. Click the pencil icon on the right of the card. It broadens the card to the edit mode.
Step 3: Go to the Select role(s) drop-down menu and choose a party's applicable role(s) from the list. Usually, an applicant and an agent are selected. Click Close.
Step 4: Go to the Project Data block and expand it by clicking Open.
Enter a short description (mandatory) of the project, describing the purpose of the application. Cloudpermit will automatically save it after completed. Click Close to collapse the block.
Step 5: Go to the Attachments block and expand it by clicking Open.
Step 6: Drag and drop attachments in the drop zone or select files from your folders. See instructions for adding attachments to applications.
Attachments can include, for example, a draft site plan or any drawings and documents that will be beneficial for the stakeholders to understand your building plans and land use. Select the attachment type from the drop-down menu.
Add a drawing number (optional) and a description of the drawing (optional). Click Done. The added attachment appears now in the Attachments block.
Step 7: Now, you are ready to request a pre-consultation from the local government authority by clicking Request Pre-consultation.
Success - You have now requested a pre-consultation to your site approval application.
The progress bar status appears Requested. Cloudpermit will notify you by email when the local government authority starts processing your request.
You can return to the Dashboard by clicking the Back to Dashboard button.
