How to reopen an abandoned complaint

By-law enforcement officers manage all complaints in the Complaints and new cases view in Cloudpermit. The view is accessible from the user Dashboard. All invalid complaints will be abandoned. However, sometimes, it may be necessary to reopen the complaint for further investigation. 

This article describes how to reopen an abandoned complaint. 

  1. Search for the property which complaint you wish to reopen in the Complaints and new cases view. Enter the property address, roll number, or PID/PIN in the search field. Cloudpermit displays the matching data on the map. The complaint card with a Reopen button opens on the right. You can also filter out all abandoned complaints in the Filter section and pick up the desired one by clicking the pin on the map. It opens the complaint card with a Reopen button on the right.
  2. All abandoned complaints will also be shown under Results regardless of their category.

Reopening the complaint

  1. Click the selected property pin on the map. The pin turns red opening the complaint card on the right. 
  2. Click Reopen.
  3. The status of the complaint is Open. You can start working on it.

Option 2:

  1. Scroll down to Results and click on the desired complaint card.
  2. Click Reopen.
  3. The selected complaint appears under Open status, and you can start working on it.
