Dashboard Map|Viewing properties and applications in the same process step on the map

Cloudpermit allows users to view their application locations on the interactive map in the Dashboard by default. The interactive map allows zooming in/out or showing property locations in different layers in the Results section. Users can filter sites by choosing the solution and selecting filter criteria (status, category, permit expiry, municipality) in the Search section to display the results on the map.

The interactive map is handy for authorities to see all properties and applications in the same process step on the map at a glance. After selecting a property on the map, Cloudpermit opens the list of workspaces in the right side panel. Users can choose the application from the list to enter its workspace.

This tutorial explains how to view properties and applications in the same process step on the map.

  1. Select the solution by clicking the solution tab under Search.
  2. Choose filters (status, category, and municipality) from the drop-down menus.
  3. Cloudpermit displays the data matching your search on the interactive map in Results.
  4. We have selected "Building" as a solution and "In review" as a status. The category appears as "Accessory structures," and the municipality is Middlesex.
  5. The map shows all matching properties (status = In review, category = Accessory structures, municipality = Middlesex) as pins on the map.
  6. Zoom in/out and drag the map to view the properties in the selected municipality's site map.
  7. Click a pin on the map.
  8. The workspace card opens on the right if the selected location has only one application that matches the filter criteria.
  9. If a few applications match the filter criteria, all of them are shown as pins on the map. Click one of the pins, and you will see all details of the applications with the same category and process step in the right side panel.
  10. Click the category row (Accessory structures) to view the application workspace card.
  11. Click Open Workspace to enter the application workspace.
  12. Click Back to return to the previous view.
