New Messaging experience
The whole messaging functionality has been revamped to support easier communication in Cloudpermit between different parties. When messages link in the header is clicked in the workspace view, messages are displayed now as a side panel right in the workspace context instead of a separate view. You can also reply to messages directly and all replies will be displayed under the original message.
When messages link is clicked in the project view or in the dashboard, current collective messages view is displayed.

Inspection reports for authority users
Cloudpermit reporting tool includes now also reports for inspections. We've added following new reports which can be downloaded as a .csv file and processed further in any spreadsheet application (e.g. Excel).

Alternative solution application for building department
Applicants or Designers are now able to apply for Alternative solution if their plans do not comply with local by-law or building code. When they express their wish to apply to the municipality - usually by sending a message in Cloudpermit when application is still being drafted - authority user is able to add the Alternative solution application form in the workspace. During application review, alternative solution is reviewed by the plans reviewer and if accepted, finally signed off and authorized by the CBO.
Before municipalities can start receiving alternative solution applications, municipality administrator needs to add their CBO in the CBO user group. This is done in the User management. See our step-by-step-guide for adding new users and assigning user groups.
- Templates related to inspections are also now moved to the new templates menu. This includes inspection report templates and order templates.
