How to configure available permit categories

This tutorial explains how Cloudpermit makes it easy for building departments to configure which categories of building permits their municipality accepts. This article explains how administrator users can configure which categories of permits their municipality will receive via Cloudpermit.

Go to the User menu and open it.
Scroll down to the Configurations and click it once.
You are navigating to the Application Configuration page.

Under the Building Permit, there are listed the building permit categories. Here you can select which categories and application types will be available on Cloudpermit.
Any application category listed, including a purple checkmark next to its name, means it is turned on and applied for.

Begin accepting a category of permit listed by checking the box on the left side of a specific category name.

For example, in the image beside, Accessory Structures permits are currently not accepted.
To start accepting them, check the checkbox on the left side of the Accessory Structures section.

There is a Save button at the bottom right to save the selection.

Next, you can configure the Works types and Works targets of each permit category you decide to accept.
Using the Accessory Structures example further.
Click the down-facing arrow on the right of the Accessory Structures section to expand it.

Project types and Work types of the Accessory Structures are available in this view. If you click the down-facing arrow next to any Work type, the list of related Work targets appears.

Cloudpermit allows you to configure the Work types and Work targets of each permit category you decide to accept.

Similar to how Permit Categories get turned on and off by checking and unchecking a checkbox, Work types and Work targets get enabled and disabled by checking and unchecking boxes next to the names of each Permit category Work type and Work target.
