How to create a new inspection request

This tutorial guides you through how to create a new inspection request for an application.

An inspection request can be created for applications under Construction started (Work) status.





Click Open Workspace on the application card in your dashboard to navigate to the Application Workspace.

You find the Inspections block under the Work & Construction section.

Navigate to the Inspections block and expand it by clicking Open.

The local government administration has preconfigured all the inspections required for the building permit to show in this view.

The required inspections can include the following inspections, among others:

  • Footing
  • Foundation Wall
  • Sanitary Sewer
  • Exterior Final
  • Fire Final, etc.

The view covers all the available inspections in progress and the ones scheduled for the application.

To add a new inspection request, scroll down the page and click Add. 



Select the inspection type from the drop-down menu list.

Click Create Inspection.
The inspection request form opens.

The description is preconfigured. You can still edit it.

Select the due date from the calendar.

Add requirements for the inspection from the drop-down menu.

Click Save.


Success - The new inspection request form is created, and you can now request an inspection you just made.
